Yes...people can surprise you! For better, and yes... sometimes worse. For myself, in these situations. I've had to remind myself that others can't read my mind lol. This resonates with the new communications between my mother and I. Sometimes... because we've talked about the same thing multiple times, for several years. I suppose I feel she should know what I'm saying... even before I say it! It's usually memories of things that bring her down, so I'm hopeful I can change the subject without making things worse.
