Can you believe its already that time of year again?? For the past 3 years the #steemsilvergold community has been exchanging gifts of silver amongst each other to great success.
The idea is simple and is a great show of faith and trust in your fellow Steemians. So much so that as a community, we would love to "open it up" to everyone on steemit.
Here is our very own Secret SILVER Santa to explain a little more:
The principle is very simple, you just promise to gift at least 1oz of silver to a fellow steemian. It can be a bar, a round or a coin.
How it has worked so far is that anyone who wished to participate can contact me on discord (@welshstacker#1176), with your name and postal address. Once everyone who has shown an interest has given me their address I will assign you all a number and then draw names to see who will become your SECRET SILVER SANTA.
**The person you get will most likely not be sending you your secret santa(it depends on fate and luck of the draw).
I will then contact you all back individually with the person you will be sending an OUNCE of silver to. Once the silver arrives, keep it closed till Christmas day or December 25th(for those non-Christian) and then share with all on Steemit.
There is no financial gain from this gesture of goodwill, as you'll have to foot the postage costs, which may well be worldwide. Don't look at it as a way of picking up silver, look at it as a way to bring us all closer together.
Some people may send premium 1oz and other generic 1oz, so if you're interested please don't expect the world, it's all about giving at this time of the year.
Let me know what you all think. I'm more than happy to handle the information traffic. Come on guys and gals let's spread some Christmas cheer. So please share this as much as possible and let's all get involved.
As a quick show of hands, simply drop your name in the comments below and I'll add you to my list. Last year we had over 20 Steemians exchange the gift of silver. Some people knew each other, some people had never talked before, but by the end we were all friends!
Spread a little Christmas cheer and get in on this year's "secret SILVER santa".
