Girls Hate Wrestling is a blog by a chick who actually loves pro-wrestling. I decided to channel my love of a testosterone-fueled soap opera of greased up men in underwear battle to lay on top of each other for three seconds... sometimes for a belt into something productive. I guess that blog is that. I love the wrestling industry, I truly do. I wouldn't waste my time yelling into the internet abyss about when creative sucks, or how someone got a deserved push, if I didn't. My only rule here: Don't be a Jabroni. And that's the bottom line!
[DING DING DING]
Survivor Series is upon us. The last of the Big 4 for 2017. RAW VS SMACKDOWN. This card is booked up, ready for action, this Sunday, November 19, 2017 from Houston, Texas at the Toyota Center. All of these matches are non-title champion vs champion, with the exception of the Cruiserweight title. And, ya know, of course the traditional Survivor Series 5-on-5 Elimination Match. I'm honestly a mixed bag on this entire ppv. Neither show dominates the card in my opinion. So let's break it down. I'm trying out some new formatting and experimenting so we'll see how this goes and my attempts to clearly express my picks for this card.
Universal Champion vs WWE Champion
Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs WWE Champion AJ Styles
My pick is obviously the Phenomenal One AJ Styles. Never Brock. Nooooo. And Daniel Bryan did a hell of a job cutting the Heyman promo for AJ on the go-home Smackdown. AJ is MY BOY. Whatta Champ.
Intercontinental Champion vs The United States Champion
Intercontinental Champion The Miz vs The United States Champion Baron Corbin
This is a social media feud. The Miz has really been growing on me and I just kinda really fucking hate Baron, all the time.
Women's Champions Match
Raw Champion Alexa Bliss vs Smackdown Champion Charlotte Flair
Oh man, do I hate Alexa. And Charlotte took a nasty beating by Natalya last night and still made won the belt in her hometown to cut a super emotional promo dedicating it to her dad, who then SHOWED UP and WOOOOOOOOOOO. Clearly going for Flair.
Tag Team Champions Match
Raw Champions Cesaro & Sheamus vs Smackdown Champions The Usos
Survivor Series is all about who's the best. There isn't much of a rivalry here except the "under seige" attacks on each brand's show. Don't really dig the Usos and Sheamus and Cesaro are the shiiiiiiiit.
Men's 5-On-5 Survivor Series Elimination Match
(teams should be on opposite colors for their brand)
SMACKDOWN: Glorious Bobby Roode Randy Orton Shane McMahon team captain John Cena Shinsuke Nakamura
RAW: Samoa Joe Triple H Kurt Angleteam captain Braun Strowman Finn Balor
This is going to be interesting. I see a lot of chaos. I mean, without Cena, I love the Smackdown guys. Raw's is...weird. I also have to say there's a lot of veteran talent in this one and less focus on the new guys.
Women's 5-On-5 Survivor Series Elimination Match
(teams should be on opposite colors for their brand)
SMACKDOWN: Naomi TBA on Sunday! Becky Lynchteam captain Carmella Tamina
I love Becky and I wanna see her knock Fox's lights out. Asuka can beat up whoever she wants. Nia and Tamina should Samoan Drop each other and duke it out. Carmella is probably gunna annoy me. It's gunna be a women's match...
Six-Man Tag Team Match
The Shield vs The New Day </center
Jabroman's back. Dean is extra crazy and Seth is doing usual Seth things. New Day are driving me INSANE. You know who's got my pick. I mean look at Xavier's dumb face. Kofi is better than this...
Crusierweight Championship Match (RAW-exclusive match)
Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore vs Kalisto
Enzo is scummy and I LOVE IT. Kalisto is very talented, don't get me wrong. Enzo is far less superior with in-ring techincal skills. I love the fuckery keeping the Cruiserweight division semi-relevant with Enzo there and as champ.
So there is your Survivor Series 2017 card. I'm gunna post the follow up as usual, when I get to it. I mean, I do re-watch the ppvs a few times to get this stuff right and I like to wait for the follow up shows for juicy details. Stay tuned. And keep it a Jabroni free zone.
