My Little Visit to HiveGrove 🌱
Today, I started my day online with a little walk around https://hivegrove.up.railway.app/. The idea is simple and relaxing: visit other players’ gardens and water as many trees as possible. It’s a peaceful little game with no pressure, and I enjoy spending a few minutes watering my own trees and those of my neighbors.
During my first walk, I visited 50 players and watered their trees as much as I could.
Then I went on a second, shorter walk. This time, the game only found 7 players for me to visit. Even though this round was shorter, I still managed to water a few more trees.
I also sent a few gifts, as far as I was able to. It’s always nice to share a little something with other players! After that, I went to check on my own trees. I’ll have to come back later to water them.
Next week, I’ll try to get more plots so I can expand my garden. In the meantime, I’ll keep going on these little walks to look after my trees and help take care of other players’ gardens. 🌳
A Rainy Sunday 🌧️
What is there to tell you on this rainy Sunday, apart from the weather, which seems determined to keep everyone indoors? This morning, when I opened the window to check what it was like outside, I almost wondered why I had bothered getting up! The sky is completely grey, the rain shows no sign of stopping, and the wind is blowing hard.
Across the way, I can see the trees bending beneath the gusts. Their branches are swaying in every direction, as if they’re fighting to stay upright. Watching them move like that, you almost wonder how they don’t snap in two! With weather like this, all you really want to do is stay warm at home, make yourself a hot drink, and not move for the rest of the day.
Even though the weather isn’t exactly inviting, I’m still going to try to get out for a little while. I have a few errands to run, and I’d also like to stop for a coffee. It won’t be a long outing, but it will give me a chance to get some fresh air, change the scenery, and avoid spending the whole day cooped up in front of my computer.
Before I leave, I’m also going to sort out my seasonal clothes. It’s time to take my winter clothes out of the wardrobe and pack away my summer ones. The T-shirts and lighter clothes will have to wait until the next sunny days. I hope they come back soon, although, looking out of the window today, they still seem a long way off!
Still, days like this have their own quiet charm. The sound of the rain, the wind outside, and the grey sky make you want to slow down and take things as they come. So I’ll try to enjoy the day in my own way: a few errands, a coffee to warm me up, a little tidying in the wardrobe… and perhaps some quiet time when I get back.
Even if the weather is miserable, getting out for a few minutes will probably do me good. And once I’m back home, I’ll appreciate being warm and comfortable even more while I wait for the sunshine to return.
