Did everyone enjoy the show last night? 🍿 I reckon if someone turned what happened last night into a movie, it would best be suited as a comedy 😜 and with that cliche but happy ending for everyone but the villain. Anyway, that’s not my topic for tonight.
While I was catching up on all that drama, our furbaby, Taro, was in this chewing mood and was laying there quietly with his toy. Feeling like it’s a little odd that he’s THAT quiet so I checked up on him and played with him for a bit until I found that he’s chewed a hole through his toy our friend got him only last week...
I’m not too sure if he’s teething but we did realise his teeth are much sharper this week as his playful bites on our hands can get a little painful if he’s over excited. He’s also been given these chew sticks as treats every now and then since we’ve had him and he usually never finishes the stick as he has trouble chewing it. We were told it can take 3 days for a puppy to finish it too (it’s an edible chew stick). This week however, he chewed and ate the stick within half a day!! It was a bit of a disbelief and shock to us as he’s growing really quickly week by week.
Unfortunately, we are going to have to throw this toy away as the stuffing inside is coming out. I found him chewing the stuffing and worried that he will swallow it. Another thing I am considering is to patch it up as he seems to love this toy a lot and the hole isn’t considered massive.
I showed him and let him have one last chew on the handle of the toy tonight as a little “goodbye... for now” gesture. He seemed a little upset when I took it away but it’s for his own good. Who knows, he might wake up one day to find it in his toy box again if I do decide to patch it up 😅.
This marks the first time Taro has somewhat “destroyed” a toy on his own. I know there will be more in the future as it’s pretty normal. There’s always a first for everything :)
