Here is a final update on our puzzle which we have been spending a majority of our time on over the weekend! As I鈥檝e mentioned in Part 1, we are in self isolation due to the COVID-19 and decided to pass time whilst indoors by doing a 1000 piece puzzle together.
I must say that the final few hours was spent struggling on the dark blue pieces as it鈥檚 actually two different shades of blue but very very similar that we couldn鈥檛 tell the difference under artificial light. We literally sat there for hours just doing piece by piece trial and error fitting hahaha yes, we were desperate to finish it that night as it was only that last bit!
I鈥檝e been complaining about how hard it was putting this together as the colours were bold and block coloured. It鈥檚 also got many weirdly shaped pieces 馃く Hubby didn鈥檛 say a word and quietly moved himself away from the puzzle as he gave up on it on multiple occasions hahaha
In the last hour when we finally started fitting the pieces together, we were cheering. It was relaxing in a way but also challenging at the same time. A very good way of keeping us away from our usual computer and tv habits.
HOORAY! It鈥檚 complete! In case you didn鈥檛 follow my previous post, this is a Snoopy and KAWS art piece in puzzle form which was purchased from the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne. We think this one looks really good and so we purchased the other puzzle sold by the gallery and waiting for it to be shipped.
We do plan to hang this up on the wall in a frame. Over the weekend we looked up how to preserve the puzzle so it doesn鈥檛 crumble and fall out of place while in the frame and discovered puzzle glue. We bought a bottle of puzzle glue online and waiting for it to arrive so we can apply the glue over the pieces which will hold the puzzle together.
Now that the puzzle is done, we are planning for the next project to work on whilst stuck indoors especially with the Easter long weekend coming up. What do you do to keep yourself occupied at home? Maybe you can give us some ideas 馃槃
