I am so excited to share this new drawing today my dear community I just arrived here in the Philippines yesterday to visit my family and siblings, and today we are all gathered at our parents' house for a big family day. Literally everyone is present with all the food I crave for. It’s unbelievable how wonderful it feels to be back together under one roof.
To make things a bit more lively, I decided to host a puzzle contest for everyone. I offered a cash prize for whichever group managed to finish their puzzle first, and let me tell you, the competition got intense very quickly young and old joined hahaha. While I was waiting and watching the teams scramble to find the right pieces, I opened up my PenUp drawing app and made this sketch from what I was seeing in front of me, which you can see in the image above.
I must admit, I really wanted to focus on that absolute look of concentration on their faces as they sort through the colorful shapes on the floor. It was such a fun challenge trying to capture their likenesses and the chaotic energy of the race while keeping the doodle feeling spontaneous and real. The simple, warm background keeps all the focus right on their teamwork.
It’s funny how a little friendly competition can bring out so much laughter and joy. I'm having such a blast being home and capturing these precious family memories on my screen.
