Hello everyone! 👋 We’ve started on this new jigsaw puzzle and wanted to show you all the progress.
We bought this during our recent trip to NGV (The National Gallery of Victoria) located in Melbourne, Australia. There was a KAWS exhibition there which we are fans of and we decided to purchase this jigsaw which is a KAWS and Snoopy (Peanuts) crossover, as a souvenir. We thought it was colourful and would be pretty cool to frame up on the wall once complete.
As Australia now has strict restrictions in place due to the COVID-19 many restaurants, shops and entertainment places are closed until further notice and if we leave the house we need to have a good reason to do so. So trying not to focus too much on the outside world, we’ve taken this jigsaw puzzle out and decided to pass time and spend “quality time” together away from technology.
It’s a 1000 piece puzzle and a pretty hard one in my opinion. The colours are bold and so if you’re on a particular colour you just get many many pieces of the same colour and you just have to try to put it together.
We started off with sorting the colours into separate piles to make it easier in the start.
It’s taken us about 4 hours and we must admit it is pretty painful doing this but at the same time we don’t want to give up. We’ve started it and we do see some progress and decided it’s best we don’t rush and take our time as it’s meant to be relaxing.... yeah not really 😬.
We are working on a board that’s a part of a frame which our friend bought us specifically for this puzzle. We told her that we wanted to frame this puzzle up once complete and so she offered to get it for us for our house warming... which never happened due to the COVID-19 however she was nice to drop it off before the restrictions of not being able to visit friends at their homes came in.
We will keep you updated on the progress and tally up the time it took to complete this 😊
What are you doing to keep yourself occupied during this time? We are going to need some ideas if this staying home thing continues for over 90 days...
