I guess having these two beautiful girls and there babies has given me a whole new perspective on individuality. They are willing to share my space with eachother but neither one wants to get too close to the other. Kitty has taken up residence in my bathroom since River is in my bedroom.
There personalties as moms are as different as night and day. River stayed with her babies for a solid two days before getting up to eat and drink. Kitty on the other hand is just as good a mom but makes frequent trips to the food/water bowls and even tries to get outside. I made River wait a week before going outdoors. I am in NO way a fan of letting cats outdoors but I have nothing for them to climb indoors.
It was not my intention to have them as long as I have and unless I can make enough money to support them with more then food I do not see how I can keep them once I'm able to get them spayed. Adding to the cat population was not my intention either. I guess I would have to say this experience has taught me more then my foster experience last year how important it is to get a pet fixed.
Pets, in my opinion are as big a responsibility as becoming a parent. Your pets become family and are no more dispisable then your children.
All is well with the babies for now. If anything changes I will let you all know.
