IAmA: Person that smoked a large amount of DMT and was "Abducted by Aliens"
Just to provide a little bit of contrast to the Alien Abductee post I thought I might share my experience smoking a very large amount (60-80mg) of Dimethyltryptamine. Despite the lack of empirical evidence of other intelligent beings existing, too many people report accounts of interactions with beings out of this world to just write them off as anomalies. The problem with the majority of these claims is that they are experiences of an individual and must be accepted on faith alone. I would like to give you my experience of using a very strong psychedelic so that you may have a possible explanation as to these occurrences. The drug gave me such a strong and profound experience of dissociation from this world that the best way I could describe it if I hadn't known that I smoked it would be "HOLY FUCKING SHIT I WAS JUST ABDUCTED BY ALIENS".
0m00s - Smoke the entire dose in one hit, hold in for about 10-15 seconds (Man that's harsh), feel my mind start to drift.
0m20s - Lay down on bed, close eyes, begin seeing the outline of a red concave polygen (10+ sides) that quickly multiply and shifts around. Comparable at this point to a LSD trip, still aware of reality somewhat.
0m22s - BAM! WHERE THE FUCK AM I? HOLY SHIT I'M TERRIFIED. Memory of past = gone. I see a 'being' standing over me (still laying down). Feels like its observing me. It's bipedal and has gray skin. Can't really make out details. I don't think it/they had faces. fairly thin/skinny, if I had to give a height I would say 4-5ft tall.
Concept of time is gone at this point. I feel a chill in the air sweep over my body, almost like a very thick fog or gas was released and I observe the alien place something over my face (oxygen mask?) I can no longer see the beings due to a blinding bright light being shined into my eyes. Again I feel as if I'm being observed. Suddenly I sit up in panic (not in actuality, only in DMT land). I'm still absolutely terrified of what is going on and feel as if I'm beginning to resort to animal instinct to try and intimidate them. I observe one of them in a "corner" in a fetal position and I "feel" fear coming from it. I have this epiphany that they are as afraid of me as I am of them and calm down. I then begin communicating with them but not through verbal language. All I know is that their was a transfer of ideas and I could feel their emotions. From here on out the memory is fleeting like a dream and I can only remember coming out of the drug induced state and feeling an overwhelming sense of awe and enlightenment. I just kind of appeared back in this world, kind of like how you just wake up from a dream.
Total time passed until regaining consciousness, ~10 minutes. Also I would like to point out that DMT has been found in trace amounts in the human body naturally. Could it be that those who report alien abductions are simply experiencing this powerful neurotransmitter making it to the brain? I'll let you be judge.
