A gynecologist from Malaysia's Twin Catalyst Medical Firm created the world's first unisex condom (suitable for both men and women). This condom is constructed of the same material that is used in medical dressings. The creator, John Tang Ying Chin, expects that the unisex condom, known as Wandleef, will play an essential role in assisting people in controlling their birth and sexual health. He described it as a conventional condom with a sticky covering. It features an adhesive coating that adheres to the vagina or penis and completely covers that area for further protection. He claims that only one side of the sticky portion is used, allowing both boys and men to use it.
Dr. Tang created condoms out of polyurethane, a clear substance often used in dressings. This condom is waterproof while being thin and flexible. He claims that these unisex condoms are so clear that nothing can be deciphered after usage. In the meanwhile, Wandalife has been subjected to a number of clinical investigations. The unisex condoms will be available on the company's website beginning in December. Dr. "I'm certain that this condom will be a useful tool in preventing unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted illnesses," Tang added.
