A walk from Aparadija(Ogun State) street from my house (moses jaiyeola street)
MY WEDNESDAY WALK.
Sometimes we need to take our times to observe what is going on around us .So on this faithful Wednesday, I decided to go out and observe things that are going on around my environment because it been long I go out to do so , my work does not permit me , unless we are on public holiday and sometimes annual leave .I know it not time for my annual leave in the office and it is not public holiday period.i have to consult my head of department that I need some rest so I won't breakdown on my health,I was able to achieve this my going out by taking 3 days leave from my work place. Though my boss did not want to give me permission, he kept on asking me
why do I need the leave , so I told him that I am not feeling too well. To cut the long story short ,he allowed me at last and I was very happy about it.
The leave days are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday itself. After I had relaxed and rested for Monday and Tuesday I discovered that my health had really improved. I decided to go out on Wednesday to observe what is going on in my surroundings.
On this faithful Wednesday, I was walking in the street and I saw many people gathered together shouting and crying from afar, I decided to come closer to know is going on , as I got to the place, I asked one woman crying bitterly beside me , what is going on , she told me robbers came to a particular man's house , took their money and the most painful thing about what happened is that thieves killed the man , maybe he was trying to drag with them , in the process they gun him down .That was what led to their gatherings. After hearing all these stories, I was in tears and could not hold myself.I felt very bad and I could not go further anymore checking my surroundings ,I had to go back to my house sadly that very Wednesday.
People are really passing through a lot, I discovered how important it is to go out and observe what is going on around you sometimes.
Though my mood that very Wednesday was very sad because of what happened to that innocent man but gained something .
*NOTE: I could not take pictures there due to the situation , people were in bad mood , you all know this is Nigeria, our mentality on things are different, the way we see things are very different. *
I just really need to be more careful in my surroundings because it is no longer safe again.
Thank you very much for reading my post
