There is one place on Earth that scientists have dated and there is no way it should belong in our past. The site is called Gobekli Tepe and it is in the country of Turkey.

The unique site has been dated by scientists and is believed to be around 11,500 years old.

If you have not studied history in a while, that is about 5,000 years before the Summarians who were thought to be the founders of our civilization.

The ancient site was discovered by a farmer when he tried to remove a stone from his field. Then he found it was more than a stone, but a megalith attached to a huge complex. The site baffles most scientists today because it shouldn't exist in the time that it did.

Graham Hancock did a wonderful lecture that explains the site and why it should make us think about our history in a different ways.

The site is still mostly underground and has not been excavated. It was discovered in the late 90's but only more recently accurately dated.

With a site like this existing outside of our normal timeline in history, it should make us think that we have it all wrong.

What if this was part of an ancient civilization that lived during the same time as the rumored Atlanteans and other pre-history mythological cultures?

What if this site was just buried under debris after a major flood that was caused by a comet hitting the ice self at the end of the last ice age? Does this mean that Noah and his ark could be real and could have been much older than we thought?

Bright Insight, a channel on YouTube that I love watching has an interesting theory that the site at Gobekli Tepe actually has carving depicting the comet strike either as a warning or as a way of recording history.

It seems that every couple of years we discover some new site that radically changes our view on history and and ancient history. At what point will we admit we don't know as much as we think we do and start trying to figure out what actually happened.

My guess is that our school text books are totally wrong about our history and yet we think we are the most advanced civilization ever on Earth. That simply may not be true? We could be, I mean we have Steemit and the blockchain, but we still don't know how things like the pyramids in Egypt were built.

What if other places are just misdated by scientists and point to a different civilization?

What if these caves were built by people trying to escape the comet?

What if this city under the water off the coast of India was part of it all?

There is so much we don't know.

I think there is just a major part of our history missing in our understanding of man and it fascinates me to no end.

What do you think? Do we understand history correctly? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

Thanks for reading.
