I’m going to make a new series called the greatest rap songs. Today’s great song is called “Juicy - Notorious B.I.G”
The tale of Notorious B.I.G is a sad one, a young up and coming rapper who was falsely accused of setting up a shooting when he didn’t and died at a young age. He left the world with timeless classics but we’re going to look at Juicy.
Juicy is Notorious B.I.G’s breakout song, with slick rhymes and tight flow. P Diddy is adding ad libs in the background.
One of the reasons why this song is succesful that the song is about his come up and is a real story.
It contains a sample of Mtume's "Juicy Fruit" which was released in 1982. The group of girls who occur in the song add to the feel to it as you can groove to any part of the song.
The story that Notorious B.I.G speaks of in the story is portrayed exceptionally in the 2009 movie “Notorious.”
