Mountain peak is todays prompt for freewriting with @mariannewest. It reminds me of an earlier prompt yoga.
I am not in the mood to repeat that story. I could site some Dutch idioms with mountain and hill but no one here cares about hearing them so why should I bother.
Mountains reminds me of the purple Milka cow. (I once saw a commercial about it) and Heidi who lived with her granddad in the mountains before they took her to the city and old grandpa could drop dead and do all the work alone.
It sucks to live up there and in the country too if you are old.
No one will deliver your groceries not even in this modern time (are there flying doctors?). It was a good thing Peter was not taken to the city and took care of granddad. I wonder if he did it because he had a great heart and cared or if he made granddad pay him. At least he looked happy. Peter I mean.
You hardly find children like Peter these days or like The Waltons. My neighbour has an 18 year old son who cannot even make his own sandwich. If he is outside sunbathing his mother has to pour water over him. Most of the time he stays in bed or is gaming and no, he didn't finish school because he has such a hard life (drugs, being drunk and molesting busstops and people).
Peter is clearly better raised plus has energy for two. It must be the healthy life he is living, one without stress, plenty of steps a day and no need for gaming. With him you can climb a mountain peak for sure.
No, this is not the house granddad lives or Peter. It is a picture I made of an old mill I discovered yesterday next to the hospital. I believe it is hospital's property now.
