I still struggle with the tags.
If I write one post its hard to choose which tag to pick.
Only the first 5 count and the first tag can not be changed if you edit your post. Pity for you if you typed the wrong letters/hive-number/tag.
Tribes like palnet, neoxian-city, and marlians, for example, have their own tag. If you use their tag you post on their platform as well. It's easy and helpful if you do not like/can visit each of them to publish in.
Which hive or other tags should I choose?
It's not that each article I write is specially written for one tag or group only.
They are the new communities forced upon us.
Anyone can subscribe but a part will not see you as a member if you do not follow their rules. What these rules depend on the community.
(You may pay, need to delegate SP or join a discord group, have a certain REP or SP level or can be labeled as NOT QUALIFIED enough for their standards.)
Merely older and rich communities have strict rules. They do not like to welcome every steemian as their member.
A hive can block (mute) you for all sorts of reasons.
Bad luck for you if you did not directly post into the community to find this out.
Bad luck if you only visit this platform once a day or week.
Bad luck if you have a slow connection or no connection at all and can not read each comment and... resteem your own post!
You need to resteem your own post!
If you don't do that your article can no longer be read by other users (exception is @partiko this app sees everything posted)!
If I am lucky I can resteem my post with steemit.com or perhaps Steempeak.
It all depends on the fact if I have internet and... how fast it is.
If you can not quickly resteem your own post it is lost, out of sight plus you receive the same label as when you are downvoted! LOW RATING
I tried to reblog my own post with
@esteemapp but it did not work (I checked it out with steemit.com and steempeak).
You have to push some buttons (SHOW) to see your "muted" post but I could not copy or edit it.
Upvoting it because of "LOW RATING" is no solution.
@partiko came to my help
This app doesn't care about "muting", "low rating", "resteeming", does not see the difference between a post or blog and all the "fun extra's" you need to study to be able to publish and be noticed on this platform.
Partiko makes my steem life easier.
I copied my own content and posted it new with different tags. Next, I was lucky enough to sign in to steemit.com (it only took me seven minutes) and resteemed my post (you cannot do this with @partiko).
The only way there is is to resteem it!
Actually, your post is not gone. It's just one community (the first tag used) that did this to you.
You do not need to care about it if you resteemed it after publishing. That community might not like it but others can still read you.
I did not resteem my post yet and I could not figure out how to resteem it after being muted.
I went back to steemit.com and pressed the button SHOW again.
I could read the post, I could see the photo after clicking SHOW but not edit it (the way to copy the complete article including photos and links).
At a certain point, I found a resteem option. It is possible to resteem a muted post so I did and it showed up in my blogs, visible!
Sorry, I can not tell you how I did it but after clicking around the option was shown. Might be I could not see it earlier because the site didn't load well.
I edited the old blog into A brave front... if it comes to hives/communities
