In the end, I once again managed to find a very beautiful dragonfly, but I have already forgotten when was the last time I found one. What I do know is that this particular dragonfly has become rare and is now very rarely found. In my area, this dragonfly is often called the Green Darners, and it most likely belongs to the family "Aeshnidae". The name was given because this particular dragonfly has a very striking green color. And now, let's take a closer look and get to know one of the most beautiful insects more closely.
This particular dragonfly has a relatively large size, so we can easily see it when it is flying. However, the part that attracts my attention the most is its two large compound eyes, which are purplish-brown in color. I think those eyes would be much more beautiful if seen from a very close distance. But we don't need to worry, because in this post we will be able to see the beauty of this dragonfly in incredible detail.
One of the unique characteristics of this particular dragonfly is that its two wings remain open even when it is resting. I myself managed to find this dragonfly in front of my house. It may sound strange because I managed to find this dragonfly quite easily. I could say that this was good luck, because I had previously searched for this dragonfly deep in the forest and I was not able to find it.
And now, let's take a look at the beauty of this dragonfly from a very close distance.
Although this dragonfly is quite large in size, it can still fly and move very quickly, so getting close to it is not an easy thing to do. This dragonfly flew away several times when I tried to photograph it, but this was an opportunity that I could not afford to miss.
Of course, the part I was really aiming for was its head, because I really love the shape of its round eyes with such a wide field of view. Its eyes are also very large, covering almost the entire area of its head.
To achieve a result like this, I had to experience so many failures. This dragonfly is very sensitive to movement, so I had to approach it very slowly and carefully so that it would not feel threatened.
I spent more than 30 minutes just to get these few photos. But take a look at these last few photos; every detail of this dragonfly can be seen very clearly, starting from the shape of its head, its colors, the fine hairs, and its texture.
And here is the photo I took from an extremely close distance. This photo shows the dragonfly at 5× magnification, allowing its details to be seen very clearly.
I'm @riyat. See you again in my next post
