Battle

The ruleset for this battle is ARMORED UP (All units receive an additional 2 ARMOR), and BORN AGAIN (all units received an additional REBIRTH ability).

In the first round, Exploding Rats attacked Djinn Oshannus and dealt additional damage to Riverboat Captain. Riverboat Captain also took an attack from Scavo Chemist. Supply Runner and Countess Sinash target their attacks at Anasth Soothsayer. The attacks from Countess Sinash also damage Riverboat Captain and Angelic Mandarin.

Iidri Fyre attacked Angelic Mandarin, while Dalthin Ironhood attacked Djinn Oshannus. Djinn Oshannus defeated Exploding Rats for the first time, but he came back to life thanks to the REBIRTH ability from the BORN AGAIN ruleset. On defeat, Exploding Rats dealt 1 point of damage to all opposing units using the REDEMPTION ability (Riverboat Captain lost because of that, but he revived thanks to the REBIRTH ability). Anasth Soothsayer, Angelic Mandarin, Swamp Spitter, and Doctor Blight attack Iidri Fyre.

In the second round, Exploding Rats and Scavo Chemist attacked Djinn Oshannus and dealt additional damage to Riverboat Captain. Riverboat Captain was defeated for the second time by an attack from Supply Runner. Countess Sinash targeted her attack at Angelic Mandarin. Her attack also dealt additional damage to Swamp Spitter and defeated Anasth Soothsayer for the first time.

Iidri Fyre attacked Anasth Soothsayer, while Dalthin Ironhood defeated Angelic Mandarin for the first time. Djinn Oshannus defeated Exploding Rats again, but it also reactivated Exploding Rats's REDEMPTION ability (This time Anasth Soothsayer died from it). Swamp Spitter failed to land its attack on Iidri Fyre, while Angelic Mandarin and Doctor Blight* managed to injure it.

In the third round, Supply Runner defeated Djinn Oshannus for the first time, while Angelic Mandarin lost for the second time to an attack from Iidri Fyre. Countess Sinash targeted her attack at Doctor Blight and dealt additional damage to Swamp Spitter.

Dalthin Ironhood attacks Doctor Blight, while Swamp Spitter and Doctor Blight attack Iidri Fyre and give him poison effects.

In the fourth round, Iidri Fyre was defeated for the first time by the poison effect he received in the previous round. Because it has the same ability as Exploding Rats, Iidri Fyre damages all of the opponent's units.

Supply Runner attacked Swamp Spitter. Swamp Spitter also took additional damage when Countess Sinash defeated Djinn Oshannus for the second time. Dalthin Ironhood attacks Swamp Spitter (but he repairs some of his ARMOR). Doctor Blight defeated Iidri Fyre again, but he also reactivated his REDEMPTION ability and dealt damage to all remaining opponent units.

In the fifth round, Swamp Spitter was defeated for the first time by Supply Runner. Countess Sinash and Dalthin Ironhood attacked Doctor Blight, while Doctor Blight attacked Scavo Chemist and gave him a poison effect.

In the sixth round, Supply Runner and Countess Sinash defeated Swamp Spitter again. The BLAST effect ability from Countess Sinash's attack also defeated Doctor Blight...

Battle Review

I will usually utilize REDEMPTION units if they are in the BORN AGAIN Ruleset plus if FIRE ELEMENT is available in the list. Exploding Rats and Iidri Fyre* are a combination of REDEMPTION units that I always use whenever the opportunity arises.

In addition, now Iidri Fyre is no longer only used to attract the attention of opposing units using his TAUNT ability. She can join in and attack opposing units with the help of units that have the WEAPONS TRAINING ability. Dalthin Ironhood is the only WEAPONS TRAINING unit that REBELLION edition has. With the added Range Attack power, Iidri Fyre can be placed in any position while attacking targets and attracting the attention of opposing units.

In this battle, I used more Range units and only brought 1 Melee unit (Exploding Rats). That's because I wanted to utilize the SCATTERSHOT ability given by Conqueror Jacek which can only be useful on Range and Magic units.

And why didn't I bring Magic units? It's because some Range units can manipulate speed like the SWIFTNESS ability.
