Manithakkali :The Botanical name of this plant is Solanum Nigrum. Many more English names for this magical berries like Sun berry, Wonder Cherry and Black night shade. we use to mention these berries as Manithakkali and in Tamil Nadu as Manathakkali and its leaves are known as Sukatti Keerai. These green leaves are used to cook poriyal and curry. Our grandma says it is very good for health and it cures mouth ulcer. Continuous intake of this green leaves cures stomach pains due to ulcer.
