Going traveling in Indonesia means you would be discovering many special things about the culture of that area. It was the thing that I have been experienced in Lembang, Bandung, West Java last month.
I have been in Lembang for several times but I still being amazed by their culture which's they were emphasized on each architecture. Like in this Mosque.
It is the Mosque close by one of the restaurant at Lembang, West Java. I visited there when I want to doing prayer at the noon. Previously I have never expected that the little mosque is that artistic and full of Sundanese touch, a tribe of West Java. But, as long as you been in Indonesia, you would see that how many architecture relate to the tribe of that area, especially for the prayer place like this mosque. As you know that the majority religion in Indonesia is Muslim, so there is so many mosque was build according the culture on that area.
The Mosque is not that large, but it still enough to dozens of people which is want to pray there. But at that time there are no many people prayer there due the area was not near on people residents.
As you know that there is two space of each mosques in the world, it was a man zone and the women zone. So this is the man zone that I can not entry due I am a women hahaha... So I just take a picture from the outside before continue my foot to the women area. It is what it is!
Even though there are separated zone, the looks of neither of them was not be difference each other. Here we go, the women zone after taking a wudhu. It is the women area. I can show you the interior by the women zone due the looks of neither of them was not be difference each other.
After through the door, you could see the large space and the curtain for separated the men and women's zone. Even though the two zone were being separated, both of gender could praying together if there is Imam (a leader of Prayer) there.
This Mosque was built by the woods and ceramics as their floor. It is kinda mix of traditional and modern cause for full traditional, it would be wood floor also. How can I knew, of course by the old movie, hahaha
The ceiling was not height. As you can see that there is old-gold lamp hanging on the ceiling. The old-gold lamp could give us the Sundanese vibes.
Outside of the mosque there is kinda waiting room for the visitors fit their shoes after prayer. Besides the area there is a traditional drum which's be used to calling the congregations to pray. It is be used to before azan. The drum was made by woods and neat's leather for make a loud sound.
In front of the traditional drum, there is a large birds house. This area would attracted the visitors. Are you see the birds?
This Mosque built in the uplands, so if you want to be there you could find the beautiful track.
