Hola Hiverun Runners...
Some time ago, I had a longer than usual holiday. So, after finishing my household chores, I tried running again at the GBK Stadium. After this, I'm going back to my hometown and might skip running for a few weeks. So, this was my activity before returning home.
This run felt really fit. Maybe it was because I woke up a little earlier, did a lot of household chores since I was off duty, and ate properly. After a quick warm-up at home, I took an online taxi to the stadium. For some reason, I find it really hard to run anywhere other than GBK these days. Maybe it's because other areas have a lot of traffic and pollution, which makes it uncomfortable the longer I run. So, this time, I went back to GBK, warmed up again, and started running slowly.
That Saturday night, the stadium seemed deserted. This was unusual. Usually, on Saturday nights, there would be a large crowd on the inner ring road, but this time it seemed deserted, even though I arrived quite late. I was a little pleased to see this quiet situation.
Throughout the run, I felt great. In fact, I never stopped. From start to finish, I was constantly on the track. Sometimes I checked my phone, replied to messages, and most definitely, this time I was listening to music, so I felt like the 5km wasn't as strenuous as usual.
Every day I always hope that I can do my first 5KM as easily as that day. In 2025, I have never participated in any race, so I forgot how hard it felt to run 10KM. Then, the better thing that I can see from day to day is that the nausea and even vomiting that I usually feel at the first KM never happens again.
