HOPE: A Supportive Digital Platform for Youth Mental Health

My name is Vivek Rai and I along with my hackmates are building a website named "save youths" that helps people who are going through anxiety, depression ,loneliness and suicidal thoughts who have thought of giving up their life..

My team Tech ninjas consists of 4 amazing developers Ansh Singh , Nriti Shukla and Yuvraj Mishra and me. We all are undergrads and are currently pursuing Bachelors in Technology from Dronacharya Group Of Institutions.

Save Youths is a website that consists of a chat both through which a user can talk or proceed their conversation.

Save Youths Platform Workflow

(1) User Registration and Login:

• Users register and log in using their credentials to gain access to the platform and its features.

(2) Accessing the Chatbot:

• Upon logging in, users can initiate a conversation with the chatbot designed to provide support and guidance.

(3) Chatbot Interaction:

• The chatbot engages in a conversation with the user, assessing their mental health status through natural language processing.

(4) User Classification:

🡺Based on the conversation, the chatbot classifies the user into one of three categories:
First Degree: For users experiencing common issues like mild depression and anxiety. The chatbot suggests self-help resources such as videos, books, and novels.
Second Degree: For users facing more significant challenges. The chatbot connects these users with their college institution for further support.
Third Degree: For users in critical condition. The chatbot notifies the college to contact the user's family members to provide immediate support and ensure their well-being.
Support and Follow-Up:

The platform ensures continuous support and follow-up for users, providing necessary resources and maintaining communication to monitor their progress.
