The platonic solids are 3 dimensional forms that are considered the building blocks of consciousness, each one has symmetrical edges, faces and interior angles, they also fit perfectly inside of a circle. These five solids are representative of the elements of reality, they are fundamental forms for existence.
The Tetrahedron
A 3 sided pyramid this platonic solid has 4 faces, 4 points and 6 edges, and interior angles of 60 degrees. The Tetrahedron symbolizes fire and the solar plexus chakra, fire releases heat and light through the process of combustion. The sun is our primary source of external firey energy, the solar plexus is our internal source of combustion. The Tetrahedron is the smallest and simplest of the platonic solids.
The Hexahedron(Cube)
This platonic solid known as the Hexahedron has 6 faces, 8 points, 12 edges and interior angles of 90 degrees. The Hexahedron symbolizes earth and the root chakra that grounds us to the physical body. Earth is the archetypal mother, nurturing and receptive yet strong and resourceful providing everything we need.
The Octahedron

The Octahedron symbolizes air and the throat chakra, it is made up of two 4 sided pyramids of equal proportion, the upward and downward pyramids represent the cosmic balance. It symbolizes air which is considered the eternal source of life force energy.

The Dodecahedron
This platonic solid has 12 faces, 20 points, 30 edges and interior angles of 108 degress.
The Dodecahedron is the last of the platonic solids and symbolizes the "Ether" or energy/atmosphere that surrounds us, this is the most stable form in existence as it fits the tightest inside the circle of creation. The dodecahedron is considered one of the most sacred shapes ever created, it is also considered to be "the shape of the universe".
