Hoy comparto mi visita a la iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Valle, situada en el municipio Benítez del estado Sucre. Es una iglesia de diseño sencillo que cuenta con una torre lateral, una sección central triangular y columnas azules que flanquean la entrada; la torre presenta ventanas de arco de medio punto con rejas blancas. La oficina de la Fundación Cáritas se encuentra junto a la iglesia y, frente a ella, hay una hermosa fuente blanca.
Cuenta con varios bancos y, en la entrada principal, dos columnas blancas rematadas por elementos triangulares; la fuente se sitúa dentro de un círculo de hormigón decorado con figuras en altorrelieve y, por la noche, se aprecian luces LED de colores azul, verde y rojo. El día de mi visita había llovido, por lo que algunas zonas de los senderos estaban húmedas. La plaza también alberga plantas ornamentales —entre ellas, la planta conocida como «copa de vino»— y farolas LED que iluminan el lugar. En la parte superior, se observa cómo las columnas convergen con las tejas del tejado; sobre la entrada se sitúa una cornisa, flanqueada por dos columnas. Un primer plano de la torre permite apreciar sus ventanas de cristales coloridos y las columnas en las esquinas; otra imagen muestra la torre y la sección triangular del tejado cubierta de tejas.
Today I am sharing my visit to the Church of Our Lady of the Valley (Nuestra Señora del Valle), located in the Benítez municipality of Sucre state. It is a church with a simple design, featuring a side tower, a triangular central section, and blue columns flanking the entrance; the tower has semicircular windows with white grilles. The Caritas Foundation office is located next to the church, and there is a beautiful white fountain in front.
It features several benches and, at the front entrance, two white columns topped with triangular elements; the fountain sits within a concrete circle decorated with high-relief figures, and at night, the blue, green, and red LED lights are visible. On the day of my visit, it had rained, leaving parts of the walkways damp. The plaza also features ornamental plants—including the "wine glass" plant—and LED lampposts that illuminate the area. Overhead, one can see the columns converging with the roof tiles; a cornice sits above the doorway, flanked by two columns. A close-up view of the tower reveals its windows with colorful glass and corner columns; another shot shows the tower and the triangular, tile-covered section of the roof.
A side view shows the Cáritas office, the benches, and the LED lights positioned around the fountain. The next photograph offers a view of the community dining hall and dispensary, as well as the benches situated at the corners of the plaza and near the side and front entrances. Next, we see LED lights set into concrete triangular structures, followed by the white fountain; it features three tiers and a figure of a child at the base holding a pitcher from which water flows to create the circulating effect. The final image provides a side view of the fountain with the dining hall and dispensary visible in the background; in addition to the aforementioned plant, a cactus also adorns this beautiful plaza located in front of the church.
