IRS won a court order for user records. If you bought or sold over 20 000 in crypto in a single year the taxman may come knocking. On a positive note the IRS wanted every record they had, and Coinbase was able to protect almost half a million users from over reaching government tax man. Coinbase says this will only effect 1 percent of their customers.
