In case you wondered... No, I have not turned into a shape-shifting creature that finds itself buried underneath a thick layer of ice on Antarctica, until defrosted, but it sure is ❄️freezing❄️ cold these days, in The Netherworlds. And, while inventing a title for this blog post, 🎶Ice Ice Baby🎶, as well as remembering having used that title for a previous blog post 6 Winters ago! ( shortly before I left my home country and moved to Portugal ) came to mind.
If I remember it correctly, in that write up I talked about Wintery movies/ films that I love(d) and I definitely included John Carpenter's 'The Thing' ( hence the joke at the very start of the first sentence ).
Once again, I haven't been frozen/ put on ice, but it seems like time is playing tricks on me. Hive is was suddenly feeling very far away and it sure felt like I had to carve my way through ice, slowly but steadily, in order to get active on here, once again, aside from some half-assed attempts at interacting on other people's posts.
Also, I was trying to take a holiday ;^)
I guess this is how a 🐻feels when it gets out of hibernation
although I feel more like a 🐻❄️ and I'm not hangry.
Luckily I have had plenty of (lovely) food in the past weeks, due to my mom cooking me pretty much all my favorite dishes, and friends and other family members treating me to meals and snacks of my choice, whenever I see them.
I eat like a King and I burn it all in this weather so I haven't gained weight. Also I still walk a lot.
Today I went on a walk that almost took me 2 hours, first to the natural area that I photographed in my previous post and then around a sizable lake that has been created by digging for coal/ turf in the past.
The pics added to this write up were actually taken yesterday and today, in the previously mentioned places.
Today the weather was even nicer, with less wind and more sun but still supercold.
