La semana pasada me había ido de vacaciones unos días a la costa argentina y se me ocurrió tomar algunas fotografías para compartirlas en esta grandiosa comunidad con el fin de que conozcan un poquito de mis tierras y mares. Esto es lo que capturé.
Last week I had gone on vacation for a few days to the Argentinean coast and I thought of taking some pictures to share them with this great community in order to let you know a little bit about my lands and seas. This is what I captured.
Intenté sacar fotos lo más profesional posible dentro de mis posibilidades. Para empezar creo que fue buena idea contrastar la naturaleza con algunos tonos grises. Las piedras con el mar atrás y las nubes flotando fue una gran combinación. Creo fuertemente que se disfruta sacar fotografías.
I tried to take pictures as professional as possible within my possibilities. To begin with, I think it was a good idea to contrast nature with some gray tones. The rocks with the sea behind and the clouds floating were a great combination. I strongly believe that it is enjoyable to take pictures.
La vista al mar daba mucha impresión por la magnitud del océano que parecía no tener límites. La dimensidad de esas aguas eran impresionantes pero también temibles frente a la furia de la naturaleza.
The view of the sea was very impressive because of the magnitude of the ocean that seemed to have no limits. The size of these waters was impressive but also frightening in the face of nature's fury.
En medio de la pandemia no había mucha gente en las playas y el distanciamiento social estaba asegurado. Ese día estaba fresco y el sol apenas calentaba.
In the midst of the pandemic there were not many people on the beaches and social distancing was assured. It was cool that day and the sun was barely warm.
Yo soy de aventurarme mucho por diferentes caminos. Justamente caminando a través de la playa vi que habían unos médanos por los que subí. Parecía arena movediza, incluso había perdido un calzado al escalar y tuve que cavar para encontrarlo. Al subir este fue el espacio que encontré.
I am very adventurous on different paths. Just walking along the beach I saw some sand dunes that I climbed up. It looked like quicksand, I had even lost a shoe while climbing and had to dig to find it. As I climbed up this was the space I found.
Así era la vista al mar. Años anteriores solía recostarme en los médanos a merendar. Nada más tranquilo y relajante que eso, se los aseguro. Por desgracia, el mar últimamente ha arrasado con la mayoría de médanos, incluso hay menos playa que lo que recuerdo hace mucho tiempo atrás.
So was the view of the sea. Years before I used to lie down on the sand dunes to have a snack. Nothing more peaceful and relaxing than that, I assure you. Unfortunately, the sea has recently washed away most of the dunes, and there is even less beach than I remember a long time ago.
Si observan se puede notar que hay un camino. Una de mis preocupaciones era que se haga de noche y perderme ahí adentro porque hay una parte en el medio de ese lugar que hay diferentes caminos que puedas tomar y sólo me guié en caminar hacia adelante para no perderme. Escuché unos ruidos que provenían de unos automóviles así que supe que del otro lado estaría una de las carreteras. Me dirigí hacia allí.
If you look you can see that there is a path. One of my worries was that it would get dark and I would get lost in there because there is a part in the middle of that place where there are different roads you can take and I just walked forward so I wouldn't get lost. I heard some noises coming from some cars so I knew that on the other side would be one of the roads. I headed that way.
En efecto, había una carretera en la que tenía que tener la precaución de que no me atropellen. Suelen pasar muy rápido creyendo que no hay gente caminando por allí. A mi favor había un puesto de control en el que debían disminuir la velocidad, sino sería extremadamente peligroso estar por allí. Es algo que comprendía, debía tener cuidado.
Indeed, there was a road where I had to be careful not to get run over. They usually pass by very fast thinking that there are no people walking around. In my favor there was a checkpoint where they had to slow down, otherwise, it would be extremely dangerous to be out there. It was something I understood, I had to be careful.
Luego de llegar allí y mirar hacia atrás por donde había venido me di cuenta que ese gran campo era propiedad privada. Por suerte nada malo sucedió. ¿Qué cosas podrían suceder? Bueno, si se quieren imaginar una situación, en el sur argentino si pasas por propiedad privada te lanzan los perros de caza o también hay gente armada. Este no fue el caso, por suerte.
After I got there and looked back the way I had come, I realized that this large field was private property. Luckily nothing bad happened. What things could happen? Well, if you want to imagine a situation, in the south of Argentina if you pass through private property they throw the hunting dogs at you or there are also armed people. This was not the case, fortunately.
Esta es la carretera que les mencioné anteriormente. Para regresar preferí irme por los costados ya que saldría al pueblo en donde me hospedaba. Regresar por el campo no era la mejor elección. Aparte comenzaría a caer la noche.
This is the road I mentioned before. To return I preferred to go by the side roads since I would be going out to the town where I was staying. Going back through the countryside was not the best choice. Besides, it would start to get dark.
El sol ya se ocultaba y se comenzaba a hacer de noche. Era hora de regresar antes de que no se vea nada y perder el rumbo. No sin antes tomar unas últimas fotografías.
The sun was already setting and it was beginning to get dark. It was time to turn back before we could see nothing and lose our way. But not before taking a few last photographs.
La última que tomé en ese día era bien a mi estilo, Paranormal. La combinación de colores en contraste con la oscuridad, era una belleza visual sin duda alguna. Aunque admito que la cámara de mi móvil ayudó bastante a lograr este efecto.
The last one I took that day was right up my alley, Paranormal. The combination of colors in contrast with the darkness was a visual beauty without a doubt. Although I admit that my cell phone camera helped quite a bit in achieving this effect.
Y estas fueron las imágenes que considero sobreasalientes en mi travesía haciendo fotografía. Realmente lo disfruté y espero que en un futuro se convierta en un placer que pueda dar sus frutos.
And these were the images that I consider the highlights of my photography journey. I really enjoyed it and I hope that in the future it will become a pleasure that can pay off.
