Ich habe mir jetzt 1-2 Stunden der US-Kongress-Debatte รผber Libra gegeben. War ziemlich witzig die Anhรถrung von David Marcus von Facebook/Calibra zu verfolgen.
Finde, die Fragen und Anmerkungen der meisten Politiker waren sogar ziemlich in Ordnung und sinnvoll. McHenry hat es auf den Punkt gebracht, Kryptos sind eine unaufhaltbare Kraft, den Fortschritt kann man nicht aufhalten. Viele Abgeordnete haben aber groรe Bedenken gegenรผber Facebook geรคuรert und wegen der vielen Datenskandale eine berechtigte Skepsis.
Interessanterweise hat sich aber Facebook bereit erklรคrt, sรคmtliche Bedenken auszurรคumen und sich allen Regulierungen zu unterwerfen (throwing oneself under the regulatory bus), bevor sie mit Libra starten. Denkt ihr, dass Libra trotzdem an den Start geht oder noch aufgehalten wird?

I watched 1-2 hours of the U.S. Congress debate on Libra. It was quite funny to follow the hearing of David Marcus from Facebook/Calibra before the House Financial Services Committee.
I am surprised to say that the questions and comments of most politicians were quite okay and meaningful. McHenry put it in a nutshell, cryptos are an unstoppable force, innovation can't be stopped. However, many MOCs have great reservations about Facebook because of the recent data scandals and justified skepticism.
Interestingly, however, Facebook has agreed to throwing oneself under the regulatory bus before starting with Libra. Do you think Libra will be launched next year or be delayed?
