Die Ghostbuster-Methode: Straßen, Gehsteige oder Autoreifen mit Chemikalien abzuspritzen ist reiner Aktionismus und bringt nicht wirklich etwas, um eine Atemwegserkrankung einzudämmen.
Was allerdings sehr wohl etwas bringt, ist Innenräume, Handgriffe und Flächen, mit denen man Kontakt hat, zu desinfizieren.

The Ghostbuster method of spraying roads, sidewalks or car tires with chemicals is just a show and does not really help to prevent the spread of respiratory diseases.
However, disinfecting interiors such as handles and surfaces with which one has direct contact, is absolutely reasonable.
