Die EZB hat die letzten Jahre durch ihre umstrittene Nullzins-Politik (Negativ-Zinsen auf Einlagen), die Zinsen und den Anleihenmarkt manipuliert und im großen Stil Anleihen von Pleitestaaten aufgekauft (Quantitative Easing) und es den Regierungen der Euro-Staaten damit ermöglicht, sich jedes Jahr zu überschulden und die Geldmenge immer weiter aufzublasen.

Auch vor Corona ist die Kaufkraft des Euros jedes Jahr dahingeschmolzen, zwar nicht so offensichtlich wie jetzt, aber der Effekt hat sich über die Jahre summiert. Exponentielle Entwicklung auch bei "2% Inflation".

Ein Verfassungsgericht in Deutschland hat die Staatsanleihenkäufe der EZB als "teilweise verfassungswidrig" eingestuft.

Ein Vertragsverletzungsverfahren der EU war die Folge. Das Verfahren gegen Deutschland wurde später wieder eingestellt.

The ECB has spent the last few years manipulating interest rates and the bond market through its controversial zero interest rate policy (negative interest rates on deposits), and has bought up bonds from almost bankrupt states on a grand scale (quantitative easing), thus enabling the governments of the euro states to run up excessive debt every year and to keep inflating the money supply.

Also before Corona, the purchasing power of the euro was melting away every year, not as obviously as now, but the effect has added up over the years quite substantially. Exponential development even with "2% inflation".

A constitutional court in Germany has ruled the ECB's government bond purchases program "partially unconstitutional."

A treaty violation procedure by the EU was the consequence. The proceedings against Germany were later dropped.

Insane, isn't it?
