Was sagt ihr dazu? Postet Feedback, Bug Reports und Feature Requests in den Kommentaren.

Release notes

  • Visual update: Redesigned the Subspace (community) About page, new search icon, removed the chrome top border from dialogs.
  • Implemented all Subspace (hive community) features including managing and creating new Subspaces.
  • Content Moderation: Made the Mute List of Subspaces (hive communities) and the mute reason publicly accessible in order to make moderation in Subspaces more transparent.
  • Added support for a required beneficiary in Subspaces.
  • Added a more button to Subspaces: Write a post and Block Explorer
  • Improved the Publish dialog: A new smart, auto-expanding Teaser replaces the old Title field, encouraging users to write an engaging tweet-like post lead.
  • Added a character count ring to the Teaser field that appears when approaching the maximum number of allowed characters. Hive limits the teaser (title) to 255 bytes.
  • Improved adding comments on mobile viewports. Pressing the + button once on an article page now adds a comment; pressing it twice opens the Publish dialog.
  • Implemented infinite scrolling for feeds and wallet transactions.
  • Implemented persisting the last drafted comment (in the case of internet connection problems or browser crashes)
  • Performance improvements: Lazy-loaded the marked and DOMPurify libraries.
  • Added workaround for slow hive avatar (profile picture) cache. Changing the avatar picture took up to a day to clear the cache. Now the avatars cache is busted every 10 minutes with an added version bucket query string.
  • Improved Login and Sign dialogs to clearly distinguish between the Keychain and password login method.
  • Added a key generation tool under Settings to locally generate your Owner, Active, Memo and Posting keys from a Master password.
  • Added support for logging in and signing messages with a master password. When logging in with a master password, users receive a warning message, and the key is automatically downgraded to a Posting key. The master password is not stored in the browser.
  • Added support for signing elevated hive transactions, such as staking and unstaking, with an Active key on mobile.
  • Added Twitter/X-style "J", "K", and "L" keyboard shortcuts for browsing the feed: J and K scroll to the next and previous posts, L upvotes the active post (double-press L to cast an upvote), and Enter opens the active post.
  • Improved the Wallet.
  • Added full delegation support for both HP and RC delegations, including delegation management.
  • Linkified usernames and post references in transfers.
  • Added support for decrypting encrypted memos using your Memo key.
  • Added Followers, Following, and Subscribers panels when clicking on the respective count in a profile or Subspace.
  • Added floating toast-style error messages.
  • Increased the avatar size in the session chip.
  • Added a workaround for the slow Hive avatar (profile picture) cache. Changing an avatar could previously take up to a day to clear the cache. Avatars are now cache-busted every 10 minutes using a version-based query string.

English

There’s a new Cyberspace app again, packed with lots of new features and quality-of-life improvements.

I’ve now implemented all the Subspace (Community) features, you can now create and manage Subspaces, as well as edit member roles.

I’ve also redesigned the About page and renamed it from “Rules” to “About” to make Subspaces more user-friendly. Not all Subspaces have pages-long lists of rules.

There’s one more feature that probably won’t please all Subspace admins. Under “Members,” you can now review the Subspace’s mute list and the reasons why someone was muted.

This is possible because all data is stored publicly on the blockchain.

I think the mute list can help increase transparency in Subspaces. Before joining a Subspace, you can use the mute list to get a sense of how restrictive the moderation is in that Subspace.

A particularly long mute list could then, depending on the situation, be a reason not to join—or perhaps even a reason to join, since the Subspace is moderated more strictly than others.

And there’s something else I noticed during implementation. Subspace owners can add any Hive account to a subspace—even without that account’s consent—for example, as a member or even an admin. It’s important to keep in mind with subspaces that only subscribers are actually initiated by the users themselves. Mods also cannot remove subscribers; only the user themselves can do that.

That’s it for subspaces.

In addition, there are many other cool features designed to make life in cyberspace easier.

Among them is a smart input field for a post’s title. The title is now called a “teaser” and is meant to encourage users to write a tweet-like post, rather than starting posts with a generic “Post #377” title.

On CyberSpace77, you’re no longer just bloggers—you’re real crypto and cyberpunks.

The new version has also implemented Twitter/X-inspired J K L keyboard support for scrolling through the feed. Press J to go to the next post, press L twice to upvote it, and press Enter to open the post for reading. It’s extremely handy if you’ve used this on X before.

The wallet has also been significantly improved; it now provides a more realistic estimate of the staked Hive (Hive Power) APR. If your account is actively curating, you can currently earn up to 9% APR—and even more if you’re actively posting.

A clear overview of all an account’s delegations is now available as well. This feature alone took me almost an entire day of Vibe Coding work—it was extremely tedious to get right, even with AI.

On the other hand, it would have taken much longer without AI. Vibe Coding is absolutely amazing. It has completely transformed coding, and in my opinion, there’s no going back.

What do you think? Post feedback, bug reports, and feature requests in the comments.
