There is a term that I invented to describe and graphically represent what happens in authoritarian governments and their successive failures. In tyrannies where absolute power does not admit limits. This is Zeus's vision.
Zeus's vision is what happens when someone who is in a position of power sends or gives an order to his subordinates to fulfill it. In the act of giving the order, and while the authority has in view of its inferiors everything is going well. But when his eyes go in another direction everything starts going downhill and nothing works as it should be.
This happens because in authoritarianisms and tyrannies, where nothing superior governs the power of authority, everything is going well while the authority, which is in itself the superior power, is watching. Big Brother is watching you. He has Zeus's vision, and as long as he watches you, everything will go according to plan.
But when they look away and his menacing gaze is no longer found, their subordinates will not have the capacity or interest to carry out such action, due to the inefficiency that reigns over them, and that is, since it is not ideas and values that govern a group of people, to a society, everything will go stunningly wrong.
Good is always the limit of power. But when the power has no limits, it happens that the authorities are ostentatious of Zeus's vision, a superpower, indeed, that gives them the ability to do an infinite number of things as long as they keep constantly watching society.
When I see you, you do everything right, when I stop doing it, not anymore.
This is the reason why all tyrannies fall and will fall, the reason why we should not fear that a post-apocalyptic scenario really happens, because all these fears are destined only to the figure of God, hence Zeus, the fear of the personification of an omniscient being who has in himself the power to do everything, which is what all these tyrants tend to place themselves in such a position.
They all have the sight of Zeus, and this is the reason why in their eyes, they are always making progress and everything is always going well.
Examine if you have Zeus's vision at home, at work, or with your friends, that is a sign that you are doing it wrong.
