Some additional thoughts.

It is possible that what I said about all those people who suffer, and are suffering, seems a bit detached from reality, and perhaps a bit cynical. But I wasn't trying to say that. I'm not saying that people don't suffer, because they do. I'm just saying that 1) suffering is a mental thing, 2) fear makes that suffering worse, and 3) all suffering eventually has an end. Furthermore, what we imagine they are suffering most of the time is not really what they are suffering. Our fears make that image worse, I think. Think of the times you've had to face a fear only to realize that what you feared was not so scary after all.
