I remember ever reading a phrase that said something like "growing up is realizing that adults are as confused as you", perhaps this is the reason why most people seek answers in some authority, in some leader, in some guide, whether in politics, in religion, and even in science.
But wait a second, didn't we say adults are as confused as you?... What perhaps the leaders, the guides, the great men of society are also not adults? Are they not also human? Are they not also confused?
Growing up in society is realizing this.
Remember this, adults are as confused as you. And this applies both to your parents, when you were just a child, and to any source of authority when you are already an adult, when you grew up, not only physically, but also psychologically.
Adults are as confused as you, that means we live in a society where we are all blind leading other blind people, where nobody knows where we are going to get, where any group thoughts or appeals to authority, is just go to people just as confused as you but who seem otherwise.
The logic behind this reasoning works like this, no matter where I fall and if I fall, provided it is accompanied, and is predisposed to ensure our safety. Also, I don't judge it, it's not the most effective thinking, but it does have some basis.
We live in a spaceship called Earth, which travels billions of kilometers per hour through space and to which we don't know where it is going. While humans play their human role during our short existence.
Society is another organism that evolves at a surprising speed, without anyone telling us what we will become tomorrow.
God does not play dice with the universe, we do, and we fail, and we get up, we fall as a group for thinking we know, and we get up when we accept the confusion and embrace it, when we say "I don't know where this is going and neither I can know", because ultimately, we can only clear up our personal confusion and nothing else.
Nobody knows where we are going, nobody knows where we are directing, nobody knows what tomorrow will be like, nobody knows what will happen.
Uncertainty. It all comes down to how we deal with uncertainty. Because in reality the future has not been created yet and in the meantime, it will be an unknown to us. It will be better? That is what the optimists say. It will be worse? That is what pessimists say. But it will certainly be different, and as it will be, that nobody can answer it.
The world is upside down, and nobody really knows anything about it, but everyone seems to know. This is how different authorities are created throughout the world. And the authorities exist so that we have security, not so that we have certainty, so that we can live a simpler life while letting others just as confused as we tell us what to do.
That is the reality of the world we live in, but come on, entertain yourself for a while and keep playing humans, maybe it has some effect, maybe not, but it's the only thing we can do. Continue doing what we do and have faith that all this will change for better, that we will go to a better place and that society will progress slowly. It is as if we had opened Pandora's box, and hope is the only thing we have left.
