Some Questions About NextColony:
As an avid player of @nextcolony, I'm left with a few unanswered questions after my first few months of gameplay.
What is the main goal of this game? Right now I'm just leveling up and trying to find as many planets as I can, but I'm not sure what I'm progressing towards. While there is a rational amount of mystery that should be expected, I would hope a broad sense of direction could be conveyed as to what our overarching goal in the game is to be.
What is going to be done to address time constraints? The heavy amount of time prevents more people from joining, and the distance time for traveling prevents current players from enjoying the game to the extent that they could (ex. I'm on the other side of the galaxy, nope we will never meet because it takes 2 weeks just to send something to you)
When will the supposed ability to tap into the reward pool eventually be realized? While I know this game isnt just about the $$$, the prospect of it is supposed to be an incentive. I thought active players/top ranked players were suppose to enjoy some of the "fruit." When will this begin?
That said, I'm not frustrated, just a bit more confused by the lack of updates and expectation setting despite the supposed amount of background activity that is still in play. As a game with limitations because there is only so much exploration space, wouldnt it be ideal to highlight the agenda before those playing now run out of ideas for why they're still playing?
I guess I'm just going to have to brush off these concerns and unanswered questions, but I hope some more clarity unfolds soon...
All I know is that the more planets I get, the more time it takes to upkeep this game. And some direction is ideal to keep the motivation high.
