Hello! I'm going to talk a bit about some synthetic nootropics today. To reiterate what a nootropic is, basically it's any chemical compound or natural plant that can enhance the cognitive abilities and or memory of the person who takes said nootropics. A wonderful thing indeed! I'm mostly going to be covering some the the "Racetam" family of nootropics. Which is a very popular choice among biohackers.
In the photo above you can see several chemical compounds within the racetam family, these aren't even all of the ones available from online retailers but, just some of the more popular ones.
Oxiracetam:
First off, Oxiracetam was created sometime in the 1970s and it is one of my favorite compounds inside of this class of nootropics, it's a mild stimulant and in my opinion, aides in the processes related to logical thinking and decision making. I'm a hobby programmer and I find taking a capsule of about 750mg (recommended dosage) before a coding session, I'm able to write the code more fluently and with ease. There has actually been studies done, on humans, to figure out the cognitive effects of Oxiracetam on patients with Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia. One major "plus" concerning Oxiracetam is that it's water soluble where-is most other racetams are only fat soluble.
Pramiracetam:
Pramiracetam, which is my second favorite nootropic by far. I find it a fair amount more stimulating than Oxiracetam and to good effect. Pramiracetam is actually sold under the trade name "Pramistar" in Europe. It's currently unregulated in the United States as is most nootropics. This one was only first discovered recently, somewhere around the late 1990s. Pramiracetam, is one of those compounds that totally boost your motivation and let you GET SHIT DOWN without fatigue and loss of interest. I usually take this one before I head into work, for that extra boost and focus. Pramiracetam is one of the "strongest" racetams dosage wise, as a standard dose is anywhere from 300-500mg.
Aniracetam:
Aniracetam, I refer to it as a jack of all trades! It is a pretty balanced nootropic effect wise. It's been shown to enhance the memory of the user but, one of it's main draws is Aniracetam's ability as a anti-anxiety agent. I take this one every morning and I find it gives me a bit of energy and a good kick to start my day, while subduing my severe anxiety allowing me to go to work and have meaningful conversation with customers and clients. I recently was in the hospital for a month, due to a reaction to my psych meds my doctor prescribed me. I swore off all formal medications and Aniracetam takes the place of other pharmaceutical medications that i've been prescribed in the past.
