Selling stuffs to make extra money

Life a the process of let go. We choose things we need and want, after a period of time we are no longer like these stuffs but if we do not have the sense of awareness we will keep buying things we don't need and we keep these things at our house. For me, that's not very healthy.

I claimed myself as a minimalist in my very early post: One more thing......

So you need to distinguish what kind of stuffs that can represent you HERE & NOW. The old books, CDs, collectibles......don't be silly that you imagine someone will come to your house and said:"Wow, I love your collection, you have very good taste." Fuck that.

Hold these things in your hand one by one, ask yourself without thinking.

"Do I need this anymore?" If the answer is "Yes!" keep it, if "No!" put that away, if you have a moment of hesitation, put that away too. Because they are not good enough to make you say "Yes!" immediately. You can take a picture save it into the computer then sell it.

Now, let's talk about where you can sell it. Remember this quote:

"Your trash is someone else's treasure!" (Is it from Ebay? I don't know, tell me if you know.)

In Hong Kong, I reckon you can sell your stuff on Carousell, it is totally free of charge.

Above is my account, mainly I put my custom order of leather product as advertisement and some of the vintage lighters, stamps and paper notes and CDs.

The mechanism is when someone saw your post, they will place a bid, if you are satisfied with their offer you can accept their offer if not you can turn it down. Then you can give your account information you them. You can send out the items by post once you received the money from the buyer. Or if you have more time you can do it face to face. Normally, I don't do face to face trade because most of my items are less then US$ 20 so it is a bit waste my time to do it.

I have some tips for you:

I put a smile before the Title because it is easier to stand out yourself from the others.
Use the search function and search all the related product, go into the post and give a "Like" (Heart) to everyone who gave a "Like" (Heart) to those related product cause these people are looking for the similar product they may keep an eye on you and they will know you after you do this. I know this is a bit time consuming you can do it while you are taking the transport.
Not just selling, you can also buy things you need from Carousell in order to get higher rating.
Don't roll everything out at a time, do it bit by bit. Otherwise people are hard to scroll down and look your product.
This is a bit difficult but try to limit your categories into 5 or 6, don't sell everything otherwise people don't know what you are selling. Try to be an expert in certain field. I know this is a bit contradicted because while you are throwing stuffs from your house but you need to be an expertise. My advise is after you sell different categories, delete the items you sold then build another product list. So......now you are an expert on other field. :)

In Aussie, people tend to use Gumtree rather they use it for job hunting, selling stuffs, rent a house and etc.
