If there is one thing most women are prone to, it is self-sufficiency.
Let's not kid ourselves: our state of perfection is that things are done the way we want them to be, or, well, the way we think they should be, isn't it?
That impulse to act according to our own will is an inherited condition that constantly seeks to override what God desires for our lives (if you don't believe us, look at what happened to Eve).
The problem with self-sufficiency is that if you neglect yourself, it can lead you unconsciously to tell God the way He should act in your life, maybe not with words but with the attitudes you adopt.
When that happens, you start ignoring God's voice to follow paths that seem better to you, or worse, you start taking things into your own hands "because God is taking a long time to answer your prayers", as if He needs your help to act.
My friend, no one doubts that you are a talented, diligent woman, with unique abilities and skills who has learned to get ahead with a lot of effort, but don't get confused, everything you are, know and have is because God has allowed you to achieve it until today.
It's not about you, it's about Him in your life; so the next time self-sufficiency wants to creep in and try to displace God in your life, remind Him to whom you owe and on whom you really depend (God): not on yourself or your abilities, but on God.
