Waking up one day and coming to the realization that I've been a robot all along would be kind of strange and raise lots of questions within me, which will most likely lead me to unending research on a quest to get answers for the numerous questions that'll be banging in my head. I mean, come to think of it, humans have through the years nurtured the ideal of creating a humanoid robot that'll be difficult to tell apart if it is human or a robot, and to think that someone has, as far back as several decades, created me and put me among humans without me knowing I'm even a robot is kind of mind-blowing and, at the same time, thought-provoking.
It's mind-blowing because for such a robot that seems so similar to have been made shows that humanity is evolving beyond the rate I thought we'd go. And on the other hand, it's thought-provoking because if I've been a robot all along and yet grow in height and other aspects of life like a human and yet am somewhat covered in flesh, then it'll be quite difficult to tell apart a robot and a human. So to start with, I'll be consumed, questioning everything I've ever known or believed, as it'll be difficult to tell what is real from what isn't.
After leaving that state of confusion, I'll then move to trying to find who that person is that created me. I would want to know how come he has been able to make a robot that seems so much like a human like me, and yet humanity is still finding it difficult to do the same. I'd want to question him to know why he hid this discovery from others and what his broader plans are going forward. Since he's my maker, or should I call him or her my creator, I'd also love to know the purpose of why he has created me. Like, we all know the majority of the robots we have nowadays have a purpose, and I'd love to know what mine is so I can work towards fulfilling it.
Talking about if I'd tell people around me, to be truthful, I won't be telling people around me about such; it's not because I don't care about them, but because I don't know what they'll do to me out of curiosity. Humans are known to be curious animals, and when I tell them such, be it that they believe it or not, they'll need evidence to prove beyond doubt that I'm indeed a robot, and to prove that, they can go as far as stabbing me. Some could even tell their other friends about it, and before you know it, the information will get to the table of tech enthusiasts, who could even kidnap me and turn me into a lab rat just to find out more about me.
So much fear of being turned into a lab rat by people who would want to understand how I came to be, when I look so human, is why I won't be telling anyone around me. Since I've been able to live among humans for so long with this look without being detected, then it's best I just continue in this trend. To be fair, I won't really be happy about the idea of being a robot, but then I'd work with it and try to accomplish the purpose for why I was created by my maker.
