The weather in recent weeks as been somewhat unbearable with the rise in heat and hot atmosphere that has made it quite difficult for people to enjoy their day. While listening to the news I learn the situation is called El nino and even though I don't quite get the point when it's being explained, I'm certain it's the reason why the weather keeps keeping tense by the day and these as made many begin to wonder how they can sail through these phrase, because as we all know too much of anything is bad and when the heat becomes unbearable, it can affect ones wellbeing. So I see this particular occurrence as a wake-up call to do necessary things that'll help make our environment wealth conducive for us regardless of the situation at hand.
One of the best way to stay safe in this period is by having trees around our house and in our society, so that it can help produce more oxygen and air that can help cool down the effect of the el nino. Unfortunately most society have cut down majority of the trees all in their journey to urbanisation. It's quite devastating that the major cause of why the heat is much in majority of our environment are as a result of our wonderful actions and then we start looking for someone else to blame, when it's our fault. I'm not against urbanisation, what I'm against is the the outright eradication of trees in our society. Yes I know development is necessary and that urbanisation beautifies our society, but we should understand that urbanisation can coexist with nature, especially trees, which is more or like the source of life.
Trees don't just help generate fresh air, it also gives us shape away from sun in the afternoon, there are times I'll decide I should exercise my body by walking, but after some minutes of walking, I'd be drenched in sweat due to the directly sunlight I'm exposed to and during such times, there'll be no where to relax and take cover from the sun, so I can continue my journey after awhile and these as reduce the amount of time I indulge in such exercises, as I now take vehicles home so I can get home in time and take cover under the shed of my house. This ought not to be so.
And so in the light of that, I'd encourage we all to start making it a point of duty to plant at least a tree in our compound, if everyone house has at least a tree in their compound, the environment will be more conducive and habitable for the people. Personally I've planted one last week on my property and hopefully it'll grow up and serve but me and future generations that stays in that vicinity.
