Hey guys, how y’all doing? Fine, I guess. Today is so bad for me. I have a lot of plans I haven’t carried out. I’m so tired right now. In fact, writing this article is a little bit stressful for me right now. I can’t believe I spent half of my day in a funeral service when I could have done something tangible with my time. And speaking of tangible, I haven’t even done the research I was supposed to do as regards my business.
Oh God, I’m so broke right now, I don't know what to do. Oh great! Tomorrow is my friend’s wedding ceremony and I’m still not sure if I will be attending the ceremony because I have a lot of engagements tomorrow. How am I going to tell him that I won’t be available tomorrow. I’m so screwed right now.. .
Okay just wait a minute. Do any of the above complaints sound like you? If yes then I would like to share a quick, sure-fire recipe for handling worry situations- a technique you can start using right away to kick worry in the butt.
I got this technique from Dale Carnegie’s book “How to stop worrying and start living” and I believe that this technique will help you too.
It is simple. Anyone can use it. It consists of three steps:
Step 1

Analyze the situation fearlessly and honestly and figure out what’s the worst thing that could possibly happen as a result of the failure. Of course, no one is going to jail you or shoot you. There might be some glitches. Probably an insult from your boss or worst case scenario you might lose your job. By analyzing the situation you create awareness within you of the circumstances at hand.
Step 2

After figuring out what the worst case scenario is, you reconcile within yourself to accept it. In every situation I face, whether negative or not, I always start by analyzing the situation to know what the end game would be. Thereafter, I accept it the way it is. I don’t try to wallow in self pity. I just say to myself “Well, it is what it is. No need to whine about it. It has already happened. What next?”. By doing this, I have already made peace with myself and by asking “What next?”, my mind is ready for solutions. I feel relaxed and here comes the last step.
Step 3

From that time on, I calmly devote my time and energy trying to improve upon the worst which I had already accepted mentally. I try to figure out ways to improve the situation or reduce the loss.. When you devote your entire energy in looking and searching for a solution, you’ll find one. In some cases, the solution might be to “let go”.
It is important to know that you can never solve your problems when you worry, because one of the worst features about worrying is that it destroys our ability to concentrate. As Dale Carnegie puts it “When we worry, our minds jump here, there and everywhere, and we lose all power of decision.”
So next time you’re faced with a dilemma, don't’ fret or jump into panic zone. All you have to do is analyze the situation fearlessly and honestly and figure out the worst case scenario. After figuring out the worst case scenario, you reconcile within yourself to accept it. From here, you know there’s only one thing that needs to be done and that is spending your time and energy in improving the situation. Just do the best you can do.
Hope this helped guys.. Love ya. Always remember that:
YOU HAVE GREATNESS WITHIN YOU.
Thanks a million.
