It’s been 8 days since my last post about my transformation. The aim was to change my lifestyle, to stop constantly eating sweets, drinking cola and consuming too many calories. Another goal was to incorporate exercise into my daily routine; I simply wanted to improve my quality of life.
What have I managed to achieve?
I’m certainly pleased with myself because I’ve been in a calorie deficit the whole time over these 8 days. Not a single day went by where I ate more than I needed. But it didn’t go quite as well as I’d have liked. Over the 8 days, I snacked 4 times in the evening before going to bed; often it was something unhealthy like crisps. Unfortunately, that’s just how I am – when I’m in a bad mood or feeling stressed, I feel like eating. I’ll swap sweetened drinks for sugar-free, zero-calorie ones. So, in the long run, it’s still not healthy... but it’s summer and I’m really thirsty. I hope to change this soon and at least cut down on how much I have.
I’m actually really pleased with myself in this area. I went cycling four times and went for a run twice. There were also plenty of walks with the kids and outdoor play. Below, I’ll share some photos of my activities to prove I’m not lying :D
Unfortunately, because of all that evening snacking, I didn’t achieve as good a result as I’d have liked. I feel I could have achieved a lot more this week, but I’m still glad I’ve finally started doing something.
My weight is currently 94.1 kilos, so that’s 1.4 kilos less.
Starting with my diet, it’s a really big step in the right direction – I don’t feel the pressure to eat constantly and I’m eating very little, yet I’m not hungry apart from those evening binges. I’m certainly very happy that my daughters are cheering me on
I’m really keen on physical activity and it brings me joy rather than feeling like a chore. I hope the next 7 days will be free of evening snacking and feature an even bigger calorie deficit!
Sometimes it’s not a lack of motivation, but simply a lack of time. I’m a father of two children to whom I need to – and want to – devote a lot of attention. I’ve got a full-time job, trading, writing on Hive, a bit of me-time in front of the computer, my wife, cycling, running. There are lots of responsibilities and the day is short. I hope I’ll manage to juggle everything so that it doesn’t get the better of me.
I’m really glad you’re visiting my profile, supporting me and leaving comments!
