My Wednesday walk this week is around the central part of Burgas city.

I passed by the monument of Alexander Georgiev - Kodjakafalia, called the "Father of Burgas" :

"one of the brightest personalities associated with the modern development of Burgas. A man who with much work and difficulty amassed a fortune and became an influential merchant, but despite his wealth, he kept his modesty and devotion to his fellow citizens. All the time throughout his life , he never stopped giving away his earnings to charity."
