Hello friends, I hope you are incredibly well.
I wanted to show you today, some photos that I took some time ago in Chile and I would love for you to know their story.
I was just arriving to Chile and since I couldn't get a job as a designer or photographer, I decided to do Uber to be able to support myself until I could get something in my profession. Most of the people that I did the Uber service with were very nice to me and always made conversation. Once I met a guy who had all the posture of a model and I dared to ask him if he was one, to which he replied: No, I'm too embarrassed to have my picture taken, but I don't close myself to life's opportunities. I immediately proposed him to do a photo shoot so he could experiment if he liked the idea of being a model and I, to have more portfolio when it comes to getting a job (without any lucrative purpose, but with all the encouragement ahead as it is what I am passionate about and characterizes me as a photographer), he gladly said yes, so we exchanged phone numbers to coordinate the time, place, day and several changes of clothes. That day we took some incredible pictures, because we chose the orange light of the sunset and while I was taking pictures of him, something told me that from that moment on this boy would have a wide range of opportunities in the modeling career, It was just a feeling and I also realized that he captured super well the way I explained each pose he had to put, that is one of the things (that I as a photographer) I consider that is super difficult, because many people at that moment are full of stage fright and they have fits of laughter or do not understand well the faces and poses they have to put; but Tomas was amazing and I knew that I had not lost that moment because both he and I would have a super good material to show.
Then, when we finished the photos, Tomás thanked me with some chocolates, which I thought was very sweet of him, because I wasn't charging him for anything and I told him that I would send him the edited photos to his email. When he received them he told me that he loved them, he flattered me for the final work we did and then we did not talk again for a long time, when suddenly one day I was driving through the streets of Santiago de Chile and I realized that he was on a billboard for sporting goods and I immediately wrote him because I was surprised and he told me that he had started his career as a model some time ago. I was very excited to read that and I was really happy for him, because one of the hardest things in life is to get what we are really passionate about as a person and feel that the work we do every day, we do it with love and to know that after several years of knowing him when he was ashamed of the photos and now he is even an international model, it fills my heart to know that he helped someone to get his way.
I for my part, as a result of those pictures I took of him, I managed to reach the eyes of other people / models who hired my services as a photographer and not only got to work with models, but also called me from real estate agencies to take pictures, companies, restaurants, nightclubs and above all, I got to work for a few years as a photographer of products such as wallets, purses, belts, etc..
Life will always give you back sooner or later every good deed we do with our heart.
I hope you liked today's story. Hugs to all!.
