Winking sketch

I was in a sketching mood tonight but couldn’t decide on what to draw. Then this happened. I’ve never drawn a winking face before so it’s different. I know, I should probably start moving on and sketching other body parts. 

I’m just thankful that I got any sketching done for the day. I’ve been going about my day doing everything but drawing. I actually tried sketching in bed last night but fell asleep holding my pencil. The night before I fell asleep with my glasses on while watching a movie. I only saw the first 10 minutes and caught the last 5 minutes before the credits rolled. It was pretty funny. 

@kommienezuspadt would’ve hated to see me asleep with all of my electronics scattered on the bed. It drives him nuts. He is still away on his work trip and my days have been boring without his company. He’s been teasing me lately by saying that I show him more interest when he’s gone. I acknowledged it. It’s true but I swear that my heart is warmer than it seems!

This sketch was drawn up using procreate and I’m using mainly ink tools. Dry ink, brush pen, and the round brush. I think it turned out looking pretty good. It has a stronger feel to it than my usual soft pencil sketches.
