Two days before our week long getaway, we made the move to start planting our vegetable for the year. Unfortunately, upon our return we discovered that the rabbits had eaten the kale-all the way down to their stems! Last year they didn’t touch it so we confidently planted them without any protection from the critters. Shame on us!
Thankfully, the other greens were safe within the surrounding fence. Our spinach was growing beautifully last year but was gobbled up by a chubby rabbit. We tried chasing it off but it ignored us and couldn’t be bothered.
We’ve been getting lots of rain and somewhat of a cold front but the spinach seems to be doing okay.
