Even though these images of me were taken at a coffee shop, I’m miles away from there now. The family and I are already boarded on our flight back to Minneapolis. I hate it. Not the leaving part, I love the idea of being back in my own home. No matter how much I travel, I can’t get over the filtered air smell on planes. It’s nauseating.

We’re not taking off for another twenty minutes so I must suffer. On the bright side, I’ve got downtime to think, write and help guthrie@guthrie out with his spelling. His dad got him a fancy journal the other day so he’s writing his very first entry as we speak. He’s trying his hardest to keep his lettering legible and within the lines. Every so often he’d look up at me and ask if I could read his handwriting. I wish I could share a picture of the page here but that’s ‘private.’

Yesterday, I took the first opportunity I could to crack open my book that I picked up from Strand in New York. I’ll probably share our bookstore haul in a further post. I was drawn to The Changeling by Joy Williams because of the cover. I’ve heard tales of Changelings and I know Angelina Jolie starred in a feature film with the same name. kommienezuspadt@kommienezuspadt encouraged the purchase saying that it would look great on our bookshelf and I was sold on the idea. I’m intrigued by what I’ve read so far, wish I could say I enjoyed the tea. I can’t wait to be back in Minneapolis so I can enjoy the deliciously brewed iced teas.

I’ll check back in with everyone once I’m back home!

Let’s say you walked into a coffee shop, what drink will you order?

Thanks for reading. 🦊
