I was going trough YouTube a bit, listening and watching some music. while I was looking a video of Joe Bonamassa, the next video was of Christone "Kingfish" Ingram.... I never had heard of the guy but I am an instant fan..... What a feeling he puts into his music and playing..
The guy is only 21 and he just breathes blues..... He has already performed with a lot of 'big shots' in music, like Eric Gales, but only has released his own forst album last year.....
This version of BB King's "Thrill is gone" is just what it is all about.. He does'nt watch his neck of the guitar a lot, which means (for me) that it is all improvisation and emotion......
Blues is a music genre which comes from a long way... It's not about complexity, it's about feeling.... And although Christone does shred the guitar neck, you just feel the purity and emotion, at least I do.....
I still have a blues band on my bucketlist, whith that mean, It would be awesome to play with a blues trio, but then I do has to be a kind of guitarist like Christone..... full of blues, great guitarsound.... and with a performance...wow... just incredible...
I can listen to this kind of music for days.... it's so from the heart..... It's great to see people, young and old, in the audience just enjoying his playing...forget about the rest, just enjoying and feeling the music....
Looking from a music perspective, I wanted to live in the Us, there is so much great music and musicians,,,,
Just awesome,
Have a great sunday,
Peter
