Last night I went to the gig of Matt Andersen in Musis Arnheim. He had a special guest and she goes by the name of Erin Costelo. I never had heared of the woman, but boy was she great. She is from Halifax Canada (Matt is Canadean too).
And the is touring around Europe with Matt. She only had the piano with her but it was really amazing. She has a unique voice and sound, and het stage presence was awesome, just like Matt the made a lot of jokes :) And, which I love about musicians, she explained a lot of lyrics, what it means to her, what the reason of her writing .... Just awesome..
After her performance Matt showed up and started his show..... Just as I expected , it was again brilliant. I was always hoping for Matt playing "I'm giving in" , but he never had a piano player with him, and it's no song for only guitar.
Yesterday my prayers where heared.. He called Erin on stage and they played "I'm giving in" , I recorded it...... Just listen to the emotion in his voice and the humble playing of Erin.....that's what music is about...
Matt played a awesome set of great songs... And afterwards I even got the chance to take a picture with him....
It was a night to remember...
