I started the dog series with Bassie and will also finish with Bassie. :) I've told and introduced you to Bo and Ozzy, our labradors, and shared the first period of Bassie's life.
Bassie is now 4 years old and we are (still) happy with him. What a wonderful dog. Of the 3 dogs (I know you can't compare them, they all have their own things) Bassie is really the easiest. Since he's been with us he really hasn't broken a single thing, not even when he was a puppy. By the way, that's not true, once he put his teeth into the handle of a screwdriver. But that was because my son had left the screwdriver on the floor and Bassie thought it was a toy :)
Bassie absolutely loves our garden, still, he can relax on the grass for hours. A disadvantage, he also likes to chew on twigs, the grass is full of pieces of twigs :)
When Bassie came to us we also had a rabbit, Snoepie, Bassie found it a bit interesting and often went to look at the rabbit hutch. Snoepie liked it all.
Ever since he was little, Bassie has been a real tracker ;) When he is on the trail he follows this one... Only now he had nothing... lol.
Sniffing makes you tired, he went to sleep in the most impossible places, here he is just under / between the kitchen chairs.
He learned to take care of his self real early ;) He would let us know when he is hungry.
I went to a puppy course with our youngest, and just like with the other dogs that was not a success haha .. He had all the attention except for us, he was also unstoppable on the field to my chagrin :)
I found this picture, I had put the pictures of the three dogs together :) Bo, Ozzy and Bassie.
Bassie grows steadily and became a toddler from a toddler, just as sweet and beautiful.
Our foto model ;)
He's handsome, a toy and a ball in his mouth. He loves bringing stuff to you and playing with it.
He is very affectionate, he always comes to you and loves to be petted. The funny thing is that he can also be alone very well, when we go to family (and he can't come with us) he stays at home and he has no problems with that at all.
He often lies against the coffee table, and then slowly sinks away. But he just stays put, it doesn't seem comfortable to me anyway.
As long as he can be outside, he is completely in his element. He can enjoy that so much, and so can we, of course.
Recently he is also allowed to snuggle on the couch with us. He absolutely loves that. Also so cool, he never jumps on the couch by himself only on invitation :)
So, now you have also been able to get to know Bassie a little better :) Our great friend !!!
Take care,
Peter
